CCD Religious Education Update
Religious Education is preparing for the end of the 2024-2025 CCD year with the Sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation scheduled to be administered in late April and early May.
Confirmation will be administered on April 30th, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at Queen of Apostles Parish (Queen of Apostles is the former St. Paul’s Parish). It is located at 18 Woodlawn Ave., Joliet, Illinois 60435
First Communion will be administered on May 4th, 2025 at 10:00 a,m, at St. Ambrose and St. Anne.
Parents who have children in grades 3, 7, and 8 should stay in close communication with their respective catechists, and Director of Religious Education Sr. Mary Francis Werner OSF. Additionally, students who are new to St. Ambrose and St. Anne CCD should be aware that all Sacraments require a two-year preparatory period. If your child is in the respective classes listed above, and is new to St. Ambrose and St. Anne, you should make sure you are in communication with Sr. Mary Francis regarding where your child is in their journey to completing their respective sacrament. A New Parish Name
| Dear Parishioners, It is with great joy that Fr. Anthony has informed us that the Bishop has approved the new Parish Name. The name chosen for the parish will temporarily be: Blessed Carlo Acutis Parish. This name will officially change to St. Carlo Acutis Parish upon his canonization. The canonization is scheduled for April 27, 2025.
